Use only as explicitly confirmed for the object.
Food contact, hot liquids, direct flame, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, freezers and detergents are permitted only when the product page explicitly confirms them. If no compatibility information is shown, do not assume the object is suitable.

Begin with the care instructions shown on the product page. Objects that appear to share a material may have different finishes and require different treatment.
Use a stable surface and attentive handling
Clean, dry hands and a stable surface help protect both the visible finish and the structure beneath it.
Begin with the least invasive method
Start with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Use water, detergent or other cleaning methods only when the product-specific guidance confirms them.
Return the object to an appropriate environment
Remove moisture promptly and allow the work to dry naturally. Avoid sudden heat, moisture and prolonged direct sunlight unless otherwise stated.
Pause before attempting a repair
If you notice a crack, loose fitting, flaking surface, color transfer or structural change, stop using the object and ask before attempting a repair.

Ceramics & porcelain
Avoid impacts and sudden temperature changes. Use a dishwasher or microwave only when the product page explicitly confirms compatibility.
Wood & bamboo
Do not soak. Wipe away moisture promptly and allow the work to dry naturally. Avoid dishwashers, direct heat and prolonged strong sunlight unless product-specific guidance says otherwise.
Lacquer
Follow the product-specific instructions. Avoid dishwashers, microwaves, abrasive cleaners, prolonged soaking and direct sunlight.
Metal
Keep the surface dry after use. Do not polish, scrub or apply chemical cleaners unless a suitable method is specified; patina and surface variation may be intentional.
Glass
Protect from impact and sudden temperature changes. Do not assume heat resistance, dishwasher compatibility or microwave compatibility unless specifically stated.
Stone
Remove dust with a soft, dry cloth. Porosity and finish vary, so avoid acids, bleach, oils and sealers unless they are approved for the individual work.
Textiles
Store clean and dry, away from prolonged sunlight. Washing, dry-cleaning and ironing requirements depend on the fiber, dye and construction.
Paper & delicate dyed surfaces
Handle with clean, dry hands. Keep away from water, friction and prolonged direct sunlight. Do not use a wet cloth unless explicitly approved.
PRESERVE THE WORK
When change deserves attention.
Changes can be part of natural aging, evidence of use or a sign that the work needs attention. Ask before intervening.
Small differences can be part of the object’s character.
Subtle differences in color, grain, glaze, tool marks and dimensions may be natural variations in a handmade object rather than defects. If a change affects safety or function, stop using the object and contact us.
